From South Africa to New Zealand! Studying at the Swiss Hotel School laid the foundation for my career today. Over the three years I spent there, I gained more than just a Diploma in Hospitality Management – I gained confidence, resilience, and a true passion for this dynamic industry.
The school’s practical training was invaluable. From working in the restaurant and learning the importance of service excellence to spending time in the kitchen understanding food preparation and operations, and rotating through housekeeping to master attention to detail – these experiences gave me a deep appreciation for how every department plays a crucial role in creating seamless guest experiences.
Today, I am proud to be the Front Office Manager at a luxury lodge in Rotorua, New Zealand, where I lead an incredible team and have the privilege of creating unforgettable moments for our guests. I often draw on the skills and values I learned at the Swiss Hotel School – professionalism, adaptability, and a commitment to excellence.
